One of my favourite business decisions is to always keep space in my calendar for last-minute requests. So when I got a call from the groom one month before the wedding and he explained the wonderful day they had in mind, I was able to say yes. And I'm so happy I got to capture their excellent wedding at a campsite.

My day started at the church for the official ceremony and church service - in the Netherlands, those are two separate events. And while both were lovely, I decided not to include those photos in this gallery. Simply because I already had a hard time picking a small selection from the afternoon and evening. So I hope you can forgive me. However, I did include some in the slideshow of this wedding, so you can still get an impression of their warm ceremony and church service.

But my absolute favourite part of this wedding was the time spent at the campsite: personal speeches and songs, homemade curry, donkeys and peacocks, table tennis, vintage furniture in a meadow, people changing into comfortable clothes, five minutes of wedding portraits at sunset, pizza baking, good conversations, more personal speeches and songs. It sounds like a lot, but it wasn't. On some wedding days, you're rushing from one thing to the next, but here it felt like I was on a mini holiday. Who can say that about their job?

My Style & Approach

Now Booking for 2023 & 2024

If I had to describe my style of photography with one word, it would be 'documentary'. Why? Because my approach is very hands-off. Sure, I'll guide you through the process of creating those beautiful photos, but you are in charge. You decide what we're going to do and how, and I'll be there to document everything from the big moments to the tiny details.

When is the right time to get in touch? Well, that depends. If you have a date and are determined to work with me, as soon as possible. Also, when there's travelling involved, the sooner the better. But if your plans are more flexible and close to where I live, you could decide to get married within a month and I'll be there to capture it. So it's up to you.
